SEAN JOHNSON AND SJ SURFBOARDS NOW USING KEAHANA

Sean Johnson is the owner of SJ surfboards founded in 2003 in Escondido, California. Being part of the new generation of shapers, Sean is open to try different technologies. He has been doing a lot of boards using KEAHANA tech and just got a personal board. Not only him, but also his fiancee got a brand new SJ KEAHANA board.  We hope you guys like it!!

Sean Johnson started designing surfboards with an emphasis in high performance surfing. Craftsmanship and quality are of the utmost importance in every SJ surfboard. Each surfboard is designed based on the surfer's experience, physical fitness, and current surfing ability. Every board is hand shaped in SJ's shop and glassed in the same facility. All customers are welcome to watch their custom SJ board as it is shaped, and be involved in the entire board building process.

LATEST NEWS: THE PIGLET XANADU/KEAHANA

AGAIN, XANADU ALWAYS INNOVATING!

Xanadu and his team riders spent a lot of time doing test and after a few good sessions, they gave this new model a GO.

His new model The Piglet is going to stores!

Basically, The Piglet is an advanced model of another small wave surfboard from Xanadu, named Pig 2.The goal was to keep the front end and modified the back end of a Pig 2 to create the Piglet.

Pig 2 is considered a success for its versatility in almost any small wave. Let's see what happens with the Piglet model with KEAHANA TECH!

BLOWING UP ON 5 FINS!!!

Sean Mattison explains his 5 fin VON SOL KEAHANA Comet from SDSURFSKATE on Vimeo.

In an effort to push the envelope Sean Mattison is always experimenting and tinkering with his Von Sol surfboard designs. All Von Sol Surfboards come with custom tuned fiberglass fins. Here Sean is using one of his mini finger keels to add just a bit more drive, bite and pivot to the KEAHANA Comet. Looks like it's working!!!

Lately the crew has been testing a technology that is relatively new in the U.S. but has been around for a while in it’s country of origin, Brazil. KEAHANA Technology takes an EPS blank designed and manufactured by KEAHANA that is glued up with a special goldenrod stringer and then it is laminated with their patented process or “kit” as they call it. All together it produces an extremely durable and light product. Through testing we have found that this technology has a really live and springy feel. Cheyne Magnusson has really taken a liking to the KEAHANA and loves the “pop” the board has. All of our models are available in KEAHANA Technology and the turn around time is about 5 weeks.

KEAHANA Team Rider Vini Fornari and friends have a new feature film out now titled, "Tales from the Desert." For the past year Vini has been travelling all over North, Central, South America, Hawaii and Brazil to compile this footage which not only showcases his talent as a surfer but also shares with the viewer some of the feel and fabric of each shooting location.
