KEAHANA Going BIG with Claudio Pastor!!!!

Hey sometimes here at the KEAHANA blog we may be guilty of focusing too much attention on high performance shortboard designs so sorry if this is the case. Here are some really cool cutting edge Racing Class Stand Up Paddleboards, Longboards, and Race Paddleboard shapes by Claudio Pastor:

These are SUP racing designs with sleek convex hull-ish bottom contours:

Of course the same KEAHANA performance characteristics like increased flotation, added glide and speed, good vibration damping, and durability are just as important with any length surfing craft.

Claudio has been getting excellent feedback and results with these designs and we are grateful that he chooses to work with the KEAHANA Concept system.

Thank you!

KEAHANA has your Prescription!!

Jeff "Doc" Lausch is one of those extremely talented, open minded shapers that we feel fortunate to work with. Not only does Doc produce some of the finest cutting edge shortboard designs but his Surf Prescription label also produces a wide product range including bonzers, singlefins, 2+1's, and a variety of shortboard mutants like chip Sk8's, platters, pills, fish n chips, as well as longboards, mid-lenghths, etc.
One great benefit with Surf Prescriptions, Doc does the majority of his production in-house and has his own DSD cutting machine to insure consistent quality, they do in-house polyester glassing, and offer some great airbrushing designs as well. Once a surfer has already honed in on a Surf RX model and dialed in dimensions perfectly remember Doc can now offer the KEAHANA EPS Concept as an option to further push the envelope of both durability and performance.

Do yourself a favor and click on Doc's link and have a look at his great line of Surfboards. Remember the "Doc" has all your options and needs covered if you would like to order a KEAHANA Surfboard from Surf Prescriptions!!!

KEAHANA Certified Who? What?

KEAHANA Certified Shaper Program!!!!

Look for this seal to insure you are getting the best, genuine KEAHANA certified surfboard.

Well...What is this? and why do I care?
Good questions...

The KEAHANA Certified Shaper Program is a unique serial number that signifies two things:

1. The Shaper has been approved to work in partnership with KEAHANA design parameters.

2. Upon purchase, the unique serial number is registered by you, the surfboard owner, and not only allows us to track quality control but also insures you are covered by our 7 month "No Snap" guarantee, a program we are working on implementing now in the USA.

Lets face it KEAHANA Surfboards cost more than standard polyester surfboards however the benefit to you is HUGE!!! not only super light and low swing weight, but also mega durability.

How durable you ask?
Well take into account this KEAHANA MAYHEM which belongs to Zeke Lau.
This surfboard is over 1 1/2 years old, has hundreds, if not thousands of sessions on it.
Now Zeke is a powerful kid, goes 180lbs+ and surfs hard everyday, two or three times a day. You get the picture? Maybe that "bro deal" $400 poly board is not such a deal afterall when it creases or snaps after only two weeks...

Anyhow something for you to consider we hope.
Our Oceanside showroom is open for you to come by and Demo boards anytime.
Please call or stop by, we will do our best to accommodate you.

Thanks for reading.

Kelly Wins TEN!!!

Big Congratulations to Kelly Slater on winning an unprecedented TEN ASP World Titles!!!
Unfortunately as joyous an event as this.. the big news last week was obviously the passing of Andy Irons. Kelly dedicated this win to Andy as a token of his respect and admiration for a fellow competitor and close friend. Everyone at KEAHANA would like to extend our deepest heartfelt condolenses to all the Irons clan in this time of mourning.

Andy here with a KEAHANA board, this one shaped by Lelot in Brazil.

The heart of a lion, he lived like a king.

Rest in peace Andy Irons.
